Prudence Crandall provides shelter for survivors of domestic violence. Although there is not a regular schedule there are two major collections held by the Church of Saint Ann which benefits the families that Prudence Crandall helps. During the Lenten Corporal Acts of Mercy collections, much needed supplies are collected and delivered to the shelter. These include household essentials, personal care products, paper goods, bedding, towels and more. At Christmas there is a collection of gift cards that can be used at various large stores. (I.e. Walmart, Target) These are distributed throughout the year to families who urgently need food and supplies. They are also given to moms who want to shop for a Christmas gift for their children.
