Youth Faith Formation
All in-person classes are full for K-8 for the 2026-2027 year. If your family is interested in faith formation classes for K-6 please contact Debbie Benson, DRE, 860-673-9858 x223 or deborah.benson@stannavon.com to discuss our homeschool options.
As a Parish, we are here to assist in the formation of your child’s faith. As parents you are the main teacher of faith for your children, our Catechists are caring volunteers who assist and add to your teaching of our faith. Our volunteers do not replace your teaching but reinforce what you teach and share with your children at home.
What is taught in religion class is learned only if it is lived at home, it is essential that you continue to keep Jesus at the center of your lives. We ask that you regularly attend Mass with your children to develop a strong spiritual connection to their classroom learning.
Church of St. Ann offers classes for children in grades Kindergarten – 8th grade. Our Confirmation program is a two-year in-person program starting in 7th grade.

In person classes, typically twice a month.
Location: Avon Middle School 375 West Avon Road Avon, CT
Grades K-4 9:00 – 10:30 AM (90 minutes)
Grades 5-10 6:00 – 7:30 PM (90 minutes)

- Confirmation Community Service: Matthew 25 Form: Complete four (4) acts of service through the Corporal Works of Mercy.
- Confirmation Sponsor Selection Form: Who will be your Confirmation Sponsor and a brief explanation of why you have selected this person to be your spiritual guide.
- Confirmation Saint Name Selection Form: which Saint have you selected and a brief explanation of why this is Saint is meaningful and special to you.
- Sponsor Affirmation Form: To be completed by sponsor and stamped with a seal/sign-off from the sponsor’s parish.
IMPORTANT: Prior to joining our Faith Formation program, please check that you have joined our Parish. By joining our Parish Family, you will be notified of upcoming events and activities. Confirmation Registration Note: If your child has not completed Faith Formation for 6th or 7th grade, please contact Deborah Benson 860-673-9858, ext. 223 PRIOR to registering for Confirmation.
