Canon 537 of the Code of Canon Law mandates that each parish must have a Finance Council. This council serves as a consultative body, established to assist the Pastor in the stewardship of the parish’s temporal goods. These resources, entrusted by God, are to be managed in support of the mission of the Parish and the broader Church. The Finance Council typically meets quarterly to fulfill its responsibilities.
