During the pandemic we were called to renew our faith and strengthen our families. The Holy Father has reminded us that the strength of our faith depends on the family, the “domestic church”. As a result, St. Ann’s refocused its’ faith formation program to be family centered, using the Sunday Gospel as the main model of Catechesis, going forward we will continue this focus.
We, as a Parish, are here to serve you with help in the formation of your child’s faith while you as a family serve each other at home. You, as parents, are the first teachers of your children, our catechists are caring people who assist you as your child’s first teachers. They do not replace you as parents but reinforce what you teach and share with your children at home in the light of the Gospel.
What is taught in religion class is learned only if it is lived at home, so it is essential that you continue to keep Jesus at the center of your lives. We request that you regularly attend Mass with your children to develop a strong spiritual practice and support their classroom learning.
