Health Ministry

The Health Ministry of the Church of Saint Ann is that which offers our community of faith the opportunity to seek out health screening, referrals, health counseling, consultation and more. Our Health Ministry is led by Theresa Bachhuber, RN, MPH. Theresa is a Parish Nurse who has been a member of this parish since 1988.

The philosophy of Parish Nursing (Health Ministry) is to promote the health of a faith community by working to integrate all perspectives of health and healing (body, mind, spirit) into the congregation. The Parish Nurse focuses on the clinical application of health promotion concepts as they relate to the whole person. This is accomplished through assessments, counseling, education, referrals and empowerment of individuals to take responsibility of their health. This strengthens the congregation’s role of healing its people with the goal of each person / family living full, abundant, and healthy lives.
Monthly office hours are offered in the sacristy, from 8am – 11am on the SECOND Sunday of the month. No appointment is necessary. Should the need arise, between office hours, a call to Kris Martino will ensure that a message get to Theresa.
